When Professional Growth Becomes Personal
There are conferences you attend to learn new skills, discover new trends, and make professional connections.
And then there are experiences that change something within you.
Attending the David Tutera Experience (DTE) has been one of those experiences for me.
There are very few professional experiences I have attended that create space for both sides of who I am—the person and the professional. DTE invites you to look at your business, your creativity, your purpose, and yourself.
It is a journey of self-reflection and professional reflection, with moments of deep immersion that can lead to those profound “aha” moments—the moments when something suddenly becomes clearer, when an idea takes on new meaning, or when you recognize an opportunity to grow in a way you hadn't considered before.
And that is one of the reasons I continue to invest in experiences like this.
I go to conferences so that I can come home better prepared to create experiences for you.
I learn. I observe. I listen. I challenge myself. I pay attention not only to what is beautiful, but to what makes an experience feel beautiful. I study the details, the atmosphere, the transitions, the emotions, and all of those seemingly small touches that can transform an event into a memory.
Because when I plan your wedding, I don't want you spending your day worrying about timelines, checking whether something has been done, or wondering what needs to happen next.
I want you to feel like a guest at your own wedding.
I want you to be present enough to notice the way your partner looks at you. To hear the laughter around you. To hug the people you love. To take in the flowers, the music, the food, the setting—and perhaps most importantly, the feeling of being surrounded by the people who came together to celebrate your story.
My goal has never been simply to create a beautiful wedding.
It is to create a moment in time you will want to relive for years to come.
That is why continuing education matters to me. That is why experiences such as DTE matter to me. Every lesson, every connection, every moment of reflection, and every new idea becomes another piece of what I am able to bring home and pour into the experiences I create for my couples.
Professional growth may begin with me.
But ultimately, it is meant to serve you.
Because your wedding isn't simply an event I am helping you plan. It is a piece of your story—and I want you to be able to live every beautiful moment of it.
